Beagle
Beagles are intelligent, even-tempered dogs from the Hound Class. Their history dates back to use as scent hunting dogs in Great Britain. They are known for their musical howl and for tracking every scent that catches their interest. Beagles enjoy sleeping under the blankets as it in their heritage of flushing out small animals from tunnels. Beagles are great family dogs and are good with children and other pets.
A Beagle's coat is a short, smooth, and dense hair. Beagles tend to shed more in the spring than in the winter, when their coat gets thicker. Because of their short hair, shedding isn’t too noticeable. Beagles are clean dogs and do not require frequent baths.
Since Beagles like to catch scents, they enjoy spending time in a fenced yard to explore, however, they need to be walked for a minimum of 20 minutes and ideally 40 minutes daily. Beagles should also have a short period of intense cardio at least 1-2 times per week.
