Labrador Retriever
The Labrador Retriever is a large, strong breed that proudly carries their tail high. This naturally obedient, highly intelligent breed is non aggressive and great with children, making the Labrador one of the top choices for families. They are also a top pick for service companion dogs. Labradors are a very active breed and enjoy running, swimming, hunting, and most outdoor activities. Black, Chocolate, and varying colors of Yellow are most common in Labs, however their coats can also take on a Silver or Red hue. There are two variations of the Labrador breed, English and American. The English version is shorter and stockier with a shorter snout. The American version is a taller, leaner dog with a longer snout. Whichever you are more aesthetically drawn to, these eager-to-please pets quickly make themselves at home as a part of the family.

Some Males can grow to be as large as 100 lbs.
